Innovation and digitalisation that free up time for care

Care services in the Nordics are facing a demographic challenge. Needs are increasing while fewer people are supporting more. To meet these developments, new ways of working and smart use of technology are required. Ambea drives digitalisation and welfare technology that improve quality, safety and more efficient ways of working. The goal is to create more time where it matters most – in the meeting with care receivers.

Collaboration to develop new solutions

Ambea Innovation hub is the Group’s centre for digitalisation and welfare technology. Here, we develop solutions that free up time for care, support independence and safety for care receivers, and improve quality. We collaborate with municipalities and universities on new digital solutions in the welfare sector and continuously seek new partnerships to help develop the future of care.

From idea to implementation

The work is based on the needs of operations. Ideas are continuously gathered from employees. The most relevant solutions are tested on a smaller scale and evaluated based on impact and feasibility, while information security and data protection are ensured at every step. Solutions that demonstrate clear value are gradually introduced across operations.

Technology that creates value in daily operations

Digital tools and welfare technology support daily operations. The focus is on solutions that improve quality, strengthen competence and reduce administrative tasks. For example, AI is used to relieve administrative work and improve processes in areas such as recruitment, rehabilitation and quality work. Operations have access to a quality-assured range of welfare technology that can be used based on needs.

Measurable impact in operations

We systematically follow up on our solutions to ensure they create tangible value in operations. Completed tests show improved quality, more time for care and better support in daily operations.

Exemples:

  • AI-supported recruitment shortens lead times, improves the candidate experience and reduces administrative workload for managers
  • Digital support tools for managers and AI solutions for quality work contribute to time savings and improved decision support
  • Cleaning robots in our nursing homes free up time in operations

When solutions are implemented, this is done in a structured way, with clear models for implementation and follow-up.
